We let the ingredients lead. Fresh, seasonal produce, handcrafted pasta and Italian cooking rooted in tradition – guided by our nonna’s philosophy, with the occasional rule gently bent.
We’re now open for Sunday lunch, serving traditional roasts alongside Roman porchetta – quickly becoming one of the best ways to spend a Sunday in Teddington.
A restaurant built with integrity. Seasonal Italian cooking, homegrown produce, and responsible sourcing – done quietly, every day. Proudly recognised as one of the UK’s leading sustainable small businesses for consecutive years.
Our name, Shambles – meaning butcher’s stall. A nod to the history of our Grade II listed home, once a working slaughterhouse and butcher’s for over 250 years.
We have a 100+ strong Italian wine list with ’40 wines by the glass’ or carafe. Come in for a quiet glass of wine or start your evening with our 60 day barrel-aged Negroni, Aperol Spritz, refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and local beers. If you would just like to have a natter with friends and simply relax and unwind, the bar is open all day for handcrafted cocktails, Italian wine and freshly ground award-winning coffee.
Two glasses of premium wine for the price of one, every evening / 17.00 – 18.30.
Nicknamed a Teddington institution and a hidden gem of the Richmond borough restaurant scene. The garden is truly a rare find for any South West London restaurant. We’re proud to have the prettiest outdoor restaurant in Teddington, where you can enjoy al fresco dining, sunny lunches and relaxed drinks. Our outdoor terrace, private walled garden, olive trees, wisteria blossoms and allotment, feels like a magical escape. Looking for a dog friendly restaurant? Your well-behaved furry friends, kept on a lead, are welcome in the garden or bar areas.
